2017 Home Counties Finals

Played on Sunday 17th September 2017 at Bexhill BC, Sussex

(Thanks to Andy Knott for the Results)

Stuart McConnachie from Ashford, as County Champion, represented Middlesex and had already been rewarded in the initial draw with a Bye taking him through to the Semis. Sadly Kent and Oxford's representatives did not enter so Stuart was straight through to the final with out a bowl delivered. His opponent, Michael Stone, had not been so fortunate. His won his Quarter against Surrey 21-10 and then beat Bucks in the Semi's 21-15. This practice on the green served Michael well in the final and the player from Sidley Martletts BC caught Stuart a bit cold winning 21-15.

Hendon's Jason Lyttle had to field a substitute in the pairs as Glen was defending his Under 25 title. Jason recruited his father John for their Quarter final against Oxfordshire. Again Kent and Sussex failed to field an entrant so the Quarter became a Semi FInal and sadly Jason and John just fell short against their West Witney opponents 18-21

Middlesex did not field an entry

Rick Vye, Eric Milsom, Jason Rowlands and Ron LeLEux from Rosedale Park had already won their Prelim Quarter FInal tie against Surrey so were into the Semi's. Bucks did not field their entry so the lads got a boost straight into the final where they faced White Rock's Trevor Logan from Sussex. Ron signed off from Middlesex representation with the title as he and his team mates won the Home Counties Fours title 18-9.

Under 25's

Defending Champion Glen Adams of Hendon started and ended his defence in the Quarter finals against Luke Gray of Crouch, Sussex sadly losing 13-21.
