BIG WEEKEND FOR MIDDLESEX BOWLS

It is a busy weekend for the Senior County Squads in Middlesex.

On Saturday the Middleton Cup Team travel to Worthing Pavilion BC to take on Sussex CBA. Buoyed by their recent victory over Buckinghamshire CBA. Middlesex CBA will be fairly confident of success over a Sussex side which has only gleaned 5 points from their opening 2 group games.

A positive result together with a win for Buckinghamshire CBA at Kent will leave the group wide open ahead of the final 2 rounds of games.

Given the last result against Buckinghamshire CBA it is not anticipated that there will be any elective changes for this Saturday’s game.

So if you fancy a day by the seaside, go Dutch and turn Worthing Orange and Support Middlesex to a vital win and you will then need no change of kit to hit the pubs and support Holland in the Euro Quarters the same evening against the Ruskies!!

On Sunday morning the top 8 squad will be looking to emulate the superb achievement of Ray Fortune and his Under 25 Squad, who have qualified for Worthing by winning their Regional Finals, when they play the Isle of Wight at Winchmore Hill.

Having caused an opening round shock by disposing of Kent, Middlesex will be looking to keep up their form and get the opportunity to play either Berkshire or Kent in the afternoons final for the chance to earn their own place at Worthing.

Again, despite the current weather forecast, supporters will be welcome to support the side.

Full reports for all the weekends’ games will be available over the weekend
