MIDDLESEX CBA UNDER 25’s v BERKSHIRE CBA UNDER 25’s
Another nail biter. These lads certainly know how to build the tension and keep both Team Manager and supporters on tender hooks.
Despite missing a few regular players and having to make positional changes, the team once again showed tremendous character and team spirit to deny Berkshire a win, which they so desperately wanted after having being beaten last week by Middlesex CBA in the EBA Double rink competition, Middlesex won 83 shot to 68 (12 points to 2).
The team welcomed Paul Reynolds (Ladygate ) for his first U25’s game, with Tom Rose (Hampton ), Ben Casey (Isleworth) and Paul Barber (Pymmes Park) making their seasonal debut's.
Rink Scores:- L. Barber 27 shots to 22. A Richardson 17 shots to 14. N Edwards 24 shots to 13. A Pearce 15 shots to 19.
Middlesex were 1 shot up at 5 ends, 2 shots at 10 ends, increasing this to 7 shots after 15 ends, this was reduced to only 2 shots up after 18 ends. Again, as in previous games the last few ends proved decisive, the last 3 ends scoring was L Barber's rink 1 shot up, N Edward's rink 10 shots up and A Pearce's rink 8 shots up, the only rink to drop shots in the last 3 ends was A Richardson’s who dropped 6 shots.
This means that the team have secured 26 points out of a possible 28. Next weeks game against Sussex CBA at Worthing Pavilion BC has the making's of a very good game as Sussex CBA have earned 23 points from their first 2 games.
