MIDDLESEX LOOK TO BOUNCE BACK AGAINST SUSSEX
This Saturday Middlesex CBA's Home Counties Squad travel to the Preston Club, just outside Brighton, for their second Home Counties League game of 2010.
Those playing will be well aware of the need to bounce back from last Saturday's opening day defeat against Surrey or the chance of retaining the league title will surely be fading away.
Middlesex should go into the game in positive fashion as History is on their side in this fixture. On their last visit to the Preston Club in 2008 Middlesex won a tight game 20 points to 2 and indeed have won on 2 of their last 3 visits to the club. Currently Middlesex are on a 3 year winning streak against the County in the League and indeed have only lost to Sussex at Home Counties Level twice in the last 11 years.
Now is the time to keep that run going and give every one a big boost ahead of the first Middleton Cup game on the 5th June.
A number of changes have been made to the side, for this second game, with Michael Kopp of Uxbridge making his debut.
Supporters would be welcome if you wish to have a day on the coast following the boys, for those unable to travel a full report plus pictures will hopefully be on line over the weekend.
