Champions in 2009, bottom of the heap 2010, what will 2011 bring?

Middlesex start their Home Counties League Campaign for 2011 on Saturday with a trip to Croydon to face Surrey CBA.

This venue now seems to be the regular home for this bi annual fixture with the last 5 away games in this competition all being played there. Middlesex have mixed fortunes on the green with 3 victories and 2 losses from those games. The most recent visit in 2009 did result in a 33 shot win for Middlesex and a repeat would be most welcome as the players travel in good spirits.

In the absence of a formal Middleton Cup trial this year Team Manager Brian Hearn and President Brian Elbourn will no doubt be using the game to look at some players ahead of the forthcoming Middleton Cup campaign so it is an opportunity for people to impress and cement their place against Kent CBA on June 4^th.
